Yes! With the right treatment and support, full recovery is possible.
What other issues do you work with?
I am an eating disorder and body image specialist. However, I also have an expertise in working with survivors of trauma, as well as individuals struggling with anxiety and depression.
What ages do you work with?
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults.
What treatments do you use?
I use effective treatments including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
I am also certified in intuitive eating and practice within a health at every size approach.
What location do you serve?
I work with clients across Montgomery County, Maryland, and D.C.
My office is located at 966 Hungerford Dr #20B, Rockville, MD 20850.
Do you offer weekend availability for appointments?
Yes! I have availability on Saturdays for appointments.
Do you take insurance and what are your fees?
I value confidentiality and believe that you (not your insurance company) should guide the length of your therapy, therefore I do not participate directly in any managed care plans.
I am an out-of-network provider with most private insurance companies. If you have an insurance plan that includes out-of-network benefits, you may be able to use it for my services.
While I will collect fees directly from you, you are able to submit the billing statements to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Please contact me to discuss fees.
How do I figure out what my benefits are with my insurance company?
I recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider, prior to our first session:
What are my Out Of Network, Mental Health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
Is preauthorization required from my insurance company or primary care physician?
Do you work alone or with other professionals?
I work in my own private practice. However, I believe that a collaborative approach to care is helpful for many individuals.
I am happy to work with your existing treatment team.
If you do not have a treatment team (i.e. physician, dietitian, psychiatrist etc) and we agree that this would be beneficial, i'd be happy to help you to establish this support.
**Please Note: The following are some common questions that I get regarding my therapy practice. This does not relate to recovery coaching. If you have questions about the difference between the two services, feel free to contact me.
